OLYMPIA, Wash. – An Olympia teenager who was the subject of a search is now reportedly a suspect in a man’s murder.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says deputies made a welfare check on a home in Orting on Thursday, September 1.
They found a 51-year-old man dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators processed the scene and collected enough evidence to suspect two 16-year-old boys in the man’s death.
They arrested both boys on suspicion of 2nd degree murder and other charges Friday night.
Their connection to the man and the murder haven’t been released.
The sheriff’s office didn’t identify the suspects, but KING 5 and other Seattle news outlets report one of them is Gabriel Davies.
He was the subject of a search after he went missing Wednesday while supposedly on his way to football practice.
The sheriff’s office reported that he had been found safe Thursday night.
