SPD arrests 2nd person in the murder of a man found in the truck of a vehicle last October
On 09-15-22 police arrested Brenda Kross – age 54 – and charged her with 1st degree murder in the death of then 19-year old Andrew Sorensen. Sorensen’s body was found nearly a year ago in the trunk of a vehicle. The father of Sorenson’s girlfriend – John Eisenman, age 61 – was charged with 1st degree murder in October of 2021. Major Crimes detectives have continued to investigate this case and yesterday arrested Kross after developing information that she was an active participant in the crime. She was booked into the Spokane County Jail and is being held on a million dollars bond. Kross has one prior felony conviction.
Major Crimes investigators established that in November 2020, Eisenman abducted the victim, tied him up and placed him in the trunk of a vehicle, assaulting him by striking him in the head and stabbing him. The car was moved from the location of the crime to a remote area in North Spokane County and abandoned with the body still inside. The vehicle remained at that location until October of 2021 when it was driven to Spokane and parked in the area of 1800 E Everett. Uninvolved individuals discovered the body and notified police. Eisenman also remains in the Spokane County jail on a million dollars bond.
